Chicken Change LLC is the controller of personal information collected through https://chickenchange.xyz (the "Site") and through messages you send us. This policy covers only this Site. Companies we own or operate, such as Turnline (turnline.app), run their own websites and services, and their own privacy notices apply there. When you follow a link to another website, that site's practices apply, not ours.

Information collected automatically

Like any website, when you load a page your browser sends technical information to our hosting provider, Vercel, which processes it to deliver and protect the Site. This includes your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. We don't use this information to identify you or build a profile of you.

Information you give us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you write or attach. Please don't send sensitive information (such as financial, health, or government ID details) by email.

What we don't collect

This Site has no user accounts or forms, runs no analytics, and has no advertising, social media pixels, or other third-party tracking. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so loading a page doesn't send your information to any other company.

We use personal information only to:

• deliver the Site and keep it secure and working, including detecting and preventing abuse;
• read and respond to your messages, and follow up where you've asked us to;
• comply with the law and protect our legal rights.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are our legitimate interests in operating a secure website and answering the people who contact us, taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and compliance with legal obligations. We don't use your information for advertising or for automated decisions that affect you.

This Site doesn't set any cookies. It stores a single item in your browser's local storage, named cc-cookie-consent, which records whether you clicked "Accept" or "Decline" on our banner so we don't ask again on every visit. It never leaves your device, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

We don't currently use analytics or any other non-essential technology, so your choice doesn't change what runs today. If we ever add privacy-friendly analytics, it will run only if you've accepted, and we'll update this policy first.

Because we don't track visitors, "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals don't change how the Site behaves — there is no tracking to switch off. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.

We share personal information only:

• with service providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions — our website host (Vercel) and our email provider;
• with a company in our group, if your message is about that company (for example, a question about Turnline), so the right team can answer you;
• with professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants, under confidentiality obligations;
• for legal reasons — to comply with the law or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Chicken Change, our users, or others;
• in a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in California law. We have not done so in the past 12 months.

Request logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and operations, then deleted automatically. We keep emails for as long as needed to respond to you and handle any follow-up, and then delete them — unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or because your message relates to an ongoing business relationship with us.

The Site is served only over HTTPS, uses strict browser security settings, and loads no third-party code. Access to messages you send us is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using reasonable safeguards.

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as our providers' standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and U.S. state privacy laws such as those in California and Texas — you may have the right to:

• know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
• have it corrected or deleted;
• receive it in a portable format;
• object to or restrict how we use it;
• withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
• opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising (we don't do any of these).

To make a request, email privacy@chickenchange.xyz. We'll need to confirm it's you — usually by replying from the address the information relates to. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. We'll respond within the time the law requires (for example, within 45 days under U.S. state laws, or one month under the GDPR), and we won't treat you differently for exercising your rights. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider by replying to our decision.

If you're in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact privacy@chickenchange.xyz and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy as the Site or the law changes. When we do, we'll change the "Updated" date and version at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll give notice on the Site before they take effect.
